A Lot of Motorcycle Dollies and Lifts are Imported

Back in 2018, we bought a new white Harley Fat Boy Low. Having two bikes to store in the garage we needed to come up with two dollies to minimize the space required to store the bikes. We had previously purchased a dolly for our Ultra Limited, but it was unstable and difficult to move with small steel wheels. Plus, it damaged our epoxy-painted floors. We like to keep our motorcycles off of their suspension/wheels so that we can easily store and move them around the garage without having to start them up. We like them out of the way, with a protective cover over them. The problem was we couldn’t find a suitable dolly that was stable, easy to move, easy to get the bike onto, didn’t damage our epoxy floors, and didn’t end up with hydraulic leaks. This is why we decided to design and make a prototype so we could have what we wanted in a motorcycle dolly.

Safety Was Our Biggest Concern

With an engineering background in the manufacturing world and selling metal finishing equipment and supplies, we knew the right people for fabrication and we knew how to get products designed and built. This meant all we needed to do was work with a business partner to design and fabricate a couple of dolly prototypes to test and store our bikes. We made a couple of adjustments and came up with a final product. The Let’s Roll Cruiser motorcycle dolly was born! When developing the Let’s Roll Cruiser dolly, we made sure it answered all the issues we experienced with the one we had already bought and others on the market. We knew it had to have large 4” casters and it also had to be built from a 10-gauge tubular steel frame to make it solid and sturdy. We added industrial rubber to the crossbars to keep the bike from sliding on the dolly. Which meant, it only required one person to put the motorcycle on and off!
